Covid-19 and Tomhegan

Effective June 26th, Maine is requiring that a “CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE” be completed for all guests checking in to Maine lodging (this excludes Maine, NH, VT, CT, NY, NJ).

To access this form, please use the following link:

Complete and email ( the form to Tomhegan 72 hours prior to check-in or print and deliver at time of check-in. All adult visitors within each cabin/lodge are required to complete a form. TOMHEGAN WILL BE UNABLE TO PROCESS YOUR RESERVATION FOR CHECK-IN UNTIL THIS FORM IS COMPLETE.

We have done our very best to follow the Covid-19 Prevention checklists as they are updated and made available by Governor Mills and the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development AND WE ARE REQUESTING THAT OUR GUESTS ALSO CONTINUE TO MONITOR AND FOLLOW UPDATES AND RECOMMENDATIONS ISSUED BY THE STATE OF MAINE FOR YOUR PERSONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY AND AS WELL AS THOSE AROUND YOU.  Updates are available at

BEDDING: COVID-19 Prevention Checklists require that ALL bedding be washed between guests. As such, Tomhegan will continue to provide bleached sheets, pillows and pillow cases but guests must now provide their own blankets/sleeping bags.

TOWELS: Due to the amount of Manager handling and bleach required for towels, guests must now bring their own towels. For guests staying longer than a week, additional bleached towels will be provided.

PAPER PRODUCTS: Due to the current shortage/limitations on the purchase of paper products, each cabin will be given 1-2 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels. Please plan to bring more if you anticipate needing it.

TOUCH OBJECTS: All guest books, pens, books, puzzles and games are now removed from the cabins per Maine CDC requirements.

CHECK-IN: Continues to be at 3:00 and will be limited to 2 guests(same family) at a time in the store. Cabin keys will be issued and hand sanitizer available for use. Please be aware of 6 foot distancing and wearing a mask (if possible). Store hours will continue to be posted for any/all additional needs such as boat rentals, propane tanks, campfire wood, and store souvenir shopping.

Please contact us with any questions and we thank you for you understanding as we work through this “new normal.” We look forward to seeing you soon!
